Our Beginning

Riverside Berners began with Lyla and Bailey, our first generation of carefully selected Bernese Mountain Dogs. Their daughters Jasmine, Bella, Zoey, and Ginger formed the second generation, and the family tree has continued from there.

Riverside uses genetic testing to guide breeding decisions and track coefficient of inbreeding, with a focus on decreasing it whenever possible through each breeding selection. We prioritize genetic diversity, health, wellness, longevity, and sound temperament while respecting the distinctive qualities that make the Bernese Mountain Dog so special.

WELLNESS CARE

Care through the first ten weeks

Wellness care continues throughout each puppy’s stay through go-home, including vaccines, deworming, daily observation, and a veterinary examination before the puppy goes home.

Daily family and dog socialization, car rides and transport, leash training, pack training with dogs of multiple ages, new people and environments, and continued supervised Puppy Yoga socialization help puppies prepare for life with their families.

Puppies go home at 8 weeks vaccinated, dewormed, and beginning doggy-door potty training. Worldwide delivery and DFW/DAL pickup are available.
