Vaccination and Health Practices

This page documents Riverside Berners’ current kennel protocol. Each family receives detailed health and vaccination records, and we recommend a veterinary check-up soon after a puppy comes home.

Deworming schedule

2 weeks: Pyrantel Pamoate Suspension. 4 weeks: second dose of Pyrantel Pamoate Suspension. 6 weeks: 10% Suspension Fenbendazole. 8 weeks: second dose of 10% Fenbendazole.

Vaccination schedule

6 weeks: Neopar vaccination. 8 weeks: Nobivac Canine 1-DAPPv (Galaxy DA2PPv) vaccination and Nobivac Canine Intra-Trac Oral. 12 weeks, if a puppy is still with us: Nobivac Canine 1-DAPPvL2 7-in-1 Dog Vaccine.

Vaccine handling and daily care

Vaccines are purchased from reputable distributors, shipped in coolers with ice packs, and immediately refrigerated at the kennel. A backup generator supports constant refrigeration during power outages. Veterinary technicians administer all vaccinations, and on-staff veterinary technicians perform daily wellness checks.

Socialization and controlled exposure

Puppies receive frequent, positive interaction with people of varied ages and supervised play with Riverside Berners dogs of different ages. Their preparation also includes car transport, grooming and desensitization, calm new environments, and sanitation-controlled public exposure. Puppy yoga is one carefully controlled part of this socialization program.
